It’s easy to distance ourselves and downplay our sin. When we have done wrong, we often say “that’s not who I am” or “I would never do that,” but the fact of the matter is, we do sin and fall short so often. But all is not lost, and there is hope because we have a savior who has freed us from our sin and given us an identity in him, not in our sin.
