What is the right response we face real, legitimate difficult things in our lives? We see the Israelites face many life-threatening situations in Exodus as they journey out of Egypt. Our response is often much like that of the Israelites—to grumble and complain in spite of the innumerable situations in which God has provided. So we face difficulty, we are called to trust in God and remember his provision.
